Doğan Medya reaches half of the Turkish population every day through a number of different mediums, Doğan Holding Chairwoman Begümhan Doğan Faralyalı has said.

“We approach half of the Turkish population every day through our newspapers, TV channels, stores, [digital pay-TV platform] D-Smart, DMC [Doğan Music Company] and magazines,” the chairwoman said at the Webrazzi Summit, answering questions from Webrazzi Founder Arda Kutsal.

The group has contact with around 15 million people through its daily newspapers Hürriyet, Posta, Fanatik and Radikal and their digital platforms, meaning websites and applications, she said at the event late on Sept. 25.

When the number of viewers of the group’s broadcasters, Kanal D and CNN Türk, is added, the media group enters into the houses of 35 million Turks every day, she said.

In addition to these conventional mediums, the group is able to touch the lives of millions more thanks to its music and books chain store D&R, which draws more than 12 million people every year, and its online music and boos stores, dr.com.tr and idefic.com, which have a combined 2.5 million subscribed members.

When the group’s magazines, members of D-Smart as well as music company DMC and publishing house Doğan Kitap are added to the figure, the extent of the group’s communication with the public reaches half of the population, according to the chairwoman.
