Doğa Altınok plays for Istanbul audience

In April, the Shining Stars series will host young violin virtuoso Doğa Altınok. Second prize winner at the 4th Gülden Turalı National Violin Competition, Doğa Altınok was also selected the best interpreter of “Filiz,” composed by Server Acimin, in the same contest. In March 2011, the 12-year-old artist won the International “Internet Music Competition.”

In the same year, she performed with the İzmir State Symphony Orchestra under İbrahim Yazıcı and with the Bursa Region State Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Mehpare Karamenderes in 2012, as part of the National Independence and Children’s Day. Last year, she won the first prizes at the “We Play Together” competition at the Paris Slave De Musique Conservatoire and the “Berlin International Music Competition Sforzando.”

Altınok was also awarded the “Young Musician of the Year” prize by Andante Music Magazine in the “Donizetti Classical Music Awards 2012.”
