Turkish ethnic music band BaBa ZuLa is giving a live performance at club Babylon tonight. The concert starts at 9:30 p.m. and tickets are available at the club’s main booth.

BaBa ZuLa shifted traditional Turkish music to a different level. While their interpretation of the familiar folk music is unique, the band also combines acoustic sound and electronic in a harmonic manner. Their performances are full of surprises and eventually turn into some sort of ritual. BaBa ZuLa’s long-awaited album “Gecekondu” clearly reflects their recently increased psychedelic tendencies. They worked in this album with such prominent names as Titi Robin, Bugge Wesseltoft, Serra Yılmaz and Dr.Das.
