Local defense firms to be on display in Baku

ANKARA
Local defense firms to be on display in Baku The Turkish defense sector is preparing to put its mark on the Azerbaijan International Defense Exhibition with 31 defense industry companies that will represent the country, marking the largest single-country participation at the fair that will start tomorrow.

The fair which will take place in the Azerbaijani capital of Baku until Sept. 13 will be displaying all the latest products and equipment offered by leading companies.

Turkey’s defense procurement body, the Undersecretariat of Defense Industry (SSM), as well as defense giants Aselsan, Havelsan and TAI will join around 168 foreign and local companies from 33 countries that are expected to attend the fair.

Defense Minister İsmet Yılmaz and SSM head İsmail Demir are also expected to be present at the exhibition.
