EU Enlargement Commissioner Stefan Füle has addressed some of the findings of the European Union’s progress report on Turkey.

The main points of the commissioner’s speech were as follows:

-The EU wants to see more progress in Turkey

-The bloc seeks to maintains common and mutual interests with Turkey

-The union urges Turkey to continue with the frozen negotiation chapters

-Positive developments were witnessed in the charter and the judicial system with the third judicial package

-Fundamental rights, including freedom of expression, remain a source of concern.
