Ruins of Hadrianapolis' walls in Edirne declared as archeological site
An area revealing ruins of the ancient city of Hadrianapolis' city walls has been declared as a first-degree archeological site by a regional board in northwestern Edirne province.
The ruins, dating back to the Roman Empire, were found during illegal excavations.
Edirne's Regional Board for Conservation of Cultural Heritage ruled for the protection of the city walls and declared the area as a first-degree archeological site.
