Endangered forest dormouse spotted in Turkey’s Black Sea province
An endangered forest dormouse has been spotted in Turkey’s Black Sea province of Bartın’s Ulus district. (AA Photo)
Locals who spotted the rare animal in a forest area informed the authorities immediately.
A team from the local branch of the Nature Conservation and National Parks Directorate arrived at the area and took the forest dormice, who was reported to be in a “tired” state, to do a health check.
