Kıymet Altunışık who looks after 14 cats in her house treats stray animals that owners of summer houses put on the streets after they left for their permanent homes in cities following the end of summer.
Saying that the cats which she takes care of at home are very used to her, the woman added that the cats are following her even when she goes to graze animals.
Mentioning that her daughter Fatma also helped her while looking after the stray animals, Altunışık said that they also gave food and water to the animals left in the streets.
“Animals, like humans, need to value them. If people cannot take care of animals, they should not adopt them,” she said.
