Including the area where Kızılırmak River finally flows into the Black Sea, bird sanctuary covers an area of 56,000 hectares, hosts 356 bird, 554 plant, 35 fish, 42 mammal, 260 invertebrates, 13 reptiles and 12 amphibian species.
