Crowds flock to buy iPhone X in Istanbul

ISTANBUL

Hundreds of people have queued at night in front of a GSM store in Istanbul to buy the newly-released iPhone X.

Apple’s new mobile phone, the iPhone X, went on sale in Turkey at midnight on Nov. 23/24.

The iPhone X is sold for between 6,100 and 7,000 Turkish Liras in the country.

One of the excited shoppers in Istanbul’s Kadıköy district said she had made an advance order after shopping.

“I’m so happy to have finally bought the phone. I made an advance order so I only waited for 20 minutes after it went on sale,” she said.
