One more Turkish soldier succumbs to wounds in Siirt

A Turkish soldier succumbed to his injuries at a hospital in the southeastern province of Siirt, state-run Anadolu Agency reported on April 1, citing emergency officials. 

Specialized Sergeant Emre Dut, 25, had been wounded in an attack when outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) militants reportedly targeted village guards and soldiers providing security for road maintenance work in the village of Ormandi.

Six village guards were killed in the incident, while three village guards and four soldiers were wounded.
