Bars and restaurants serving alcoholic beverages will be relocated away from the center of the Turkish town of Kırıkkale to nearby locations outside of town, according to Doğan news agency.

Local business owners were disturbed by alcohol consumption in the center of town, where their businesses are located, said Kırıkkale's Justice and Development Party (AKP) mayor, Veli Korkmaz.

"Last year, and the years before that, our people have complained about the bars and places serving alcohol," Korkmaz said. "They wanted these places shut down, or moved out. And we will move these businesses to locations near the animal market [outside of town]."
