Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met with U.S. Permanent Representative to NATO Matthew Whitaker in Istanbul, Turkish diplomatic sources said.
No details were released on the content of the meeting.
The talks came as Türkiye prepares to host the NATO summit in Ankara on July 7-8. NATO has said the summit will be held at the presidential complex and will bring allied leaders together to discuss key issues facing the alliance.
