World mourns young Gezi victim Berkin Elvan

The vigil for Berkin Elvan in Washington was held in front of the White House.

Berkin Elvan, the 15-year-old who died after 269 days in a coma and was buried March 12, was commemorated around the world. In the past two days, memorial ceremonies were held for the eigth victim of the Gezi Park protests in several cities, including New York, Washington DC, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Bielefeld, Berlin, Brussels, The Hague, Dresden, Duisburg, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Helsinki, Cologne, Lausanne, Lisbon, London, Paris, Rotterdam, Stuttgart, Vienna and Warsaw.
