Village guard killed in PKK attack in Turkey’s east

One village guard was killed and another was wounded on June 15 in an outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) attack in the eastern province of Muş.

A group of PKK militants opened fire on security forces at a gendarmerie post in the Kızılağaç town with automatic weapons.

An armed clash later erupted as security forces responded to the fire. 

One village guard was killed and another was wounded during the clashes.
