Two soldiers killed in PKK operation in Turkey’s southeast

Two soldiers were killed on Jan. 6 during an operation against outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) militants in the southeastern province of Şırnak, state-run Anadolu Agency has reported.

Four other soldiers were also wounded during the operation conducted against the militants at the Gabar mountain, the agency said.

The wounded soldiers were taken to a hospital in the southeastern province of Siirt while the operation to apprehend the militants is still underway.
