Turkish taekwondo athlete wins gold medal in South Korea

ANKARA

Turkish athlete Nur Tatar Askari won a gold medal in the 2017 World Taekwondo Championship on June 27 in South Korea, state-run Anadolu Agency has reported.  

Bronze medalist in the 2016 Rio Olympics, Askari, defeated her U.S. opponent Paige McPherson in the women’s under-67 kg final in the city of Muju.
