Turkish president meets with leaders

Turkish President Abdullah Gül met with regional leaders bilaterally within the scope of the BSEC summit in Istanbul yesterday.

Gül met with Tomislav Nikolic, president of Serbia, which co-chaired the summit, on the sidelines of the event in Istanbul.

Gül’s 40-minute meeting with Nikolic was closed to the press. Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu also attended the Gül-Nikolic meeting. Gül also met with his Azeri counterpart, Ilham Aliyev, Albanian Prime Minister Sali Berisha and his Georgian counterpart Mikheil Saakashvili. All these meetings were also closed to the press.
