Turkish President meets Obama at UN lunch

Turkish President Abdullah Gül has had conversation with his U.S. counterpart Barrack Obama in private during a lunch hosted by the United Nations General Secretary Ban Ki-Moon on Sept.24 for the honorary of delegation heads.

Sitting at the same table, two leaders had some time to talk despite the crowded gathering.

Meanwhile, accompanying President Gül during his trip in New York, First Lady Hayrünnisa Gül met with Michelle Obama at United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) First Ladies event at The Studio Museum in Harlem in New York.

President Gül has expressed his support for the U.S.-Russian agreement for the destruction of Syria's chemical weapons arsenal in his speech at the UNGA.
