Turkish movies to hit the screens of Bosnia cinema

The fifth Turkish Film Festival will open in Bosnia on April 13. The Turkish Film Festival has become a tradition in Bosnia. The festival aims to promote the culture and cinema scene of Turkey in Bosnia and Herzegovina, while it also looks to contribute to the arts and cultural scene in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This year, the fifth festival will be opened with a special screening of “Ses” (The Voice), directed by Ümit Ünal. The official opening ceremony is scheduled for April 12 at Unitic Business Center. During the festival, as many as 11 movies will be shown, six of which will be shown in Sarajevo and five in Zenica.

Cengiz Aydın, cultural and tourism attaché of the Turkish Embassy in Sarajevo, said they had widened the scope of the festival by screening films in other Bosnian cities and extended the time period.

“We will host celebrities of Turkish cinema, namely Mehmet Günsur and Selma Ergeç, to attract viewers,” added Aydın.
