Turkish film best at Moscow Film Festival

Turkish director Erdem Tepegöz’s film “Zerre” (The Particle), which competed at the main contest of the 35th Moscow Film Festival – one of the most prestigious film festivals in the world held June 20 to 29 – won the Best Film Award at the event. The leading actress in the film, Jale Arıkan, also won the Best Actress Award at the festival.

“Zerre” won five awards at festivals including the Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival and Malatya Crystal Apricot Film Festival.

The closing ceremony of the festival was held at the Russian Movie Theater. The Best Actor Award of the festival went to Russian actor Aleksey Shevchenko for his role in Andrey Bogatırev’s film “Juda.”
