Turkish army captures 25 ISIL militants, along with 22 children

The Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) has captured 25 jihadists from the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), along with 22 children, in two separate operations targeting illegal cross-border transiting near the border with Syria.

According to a statement posted on the official website of the Turkish General Staff, border units captured 21 ISIL members and 22 children in southeastern province of Kilis on Jan. 27, as the group was trying to illegally transit into Turkey from Syria.

In a separate operation conducted on the same day, the TSK capture four people - Turks and foreigners - who were trying to illegally enter Syria from Turkey and who are believed to have been set to join ISIL.
