Turkish Airlines to launch direct flights to Miami

ISTANBUL
Turkish Airlines (THY), Turkey’s national flag-carrier, will begin direct flights to Miami on Oct. 25, the company announced on May 13.

The move makes Miami the company’s 12th destination in the Americas, on top of existing services to Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, Toronto, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, Washington, Boston, Montreal and San Francisco.

Reciprocal Miami flights will be operated every weekday, THY said.

One of the largest and fastest-growing carriers in the world, THY currently serves more than 260 destinations around the globe from its centrally located Istanbul hub, which offers easy access to Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Europe. A member of the Star Alliance, THY’s quick growth has been accompanied by a steady stream of industry-wide recognition for outstanding customer service. Along with being rated a World Top 10 Airline at the Skytrax World Airline Awards each of the past four years, THY has also won consecutive “Best Airline in Europe” honors for the same four-year time period.
