DTP leader Ahmet Turk said several Kurdish-origin lawmakers and mayors are taking part in the protest that began in the southeastern province of Diyarbakir.
Police detained more than 200 DTP members in a crackdown against people suspected of links to the PKK terror organization.
The constitutional court is currently deliberating a case demanding the closure of the DTP over its alleged links to the terror organization PKK, which launches cross-border attacks against Turkey from bases in northern Iraq. The party has 21 legislators inTurkey’s 550-seat parliament.
The PKK is listed as a terrorist group by Turkey and much of the international community, including the EU and the United States.
