Turkish citizen Efe Tanay has been selected to become a “professional tourist” to do “Turkey’s best job.”

The southwestern Turkish resort of Ortanca had announced earlier this year that they would hire one person for Turkey’s best job to raise awareness about Dalyan and Sarıgerme areas’ natural beauties.

The job includes swimming with Caretta Carettas off the world-famous İztuzu beach, taking boat trips on Dalyan Canal, as well as visits to ancient tombs on the rocky hills.

All the “employee” should do as part of the job is share the photos and videos of his experience on www.bestjobinturkey.com.

He will be paid 30,000 Turkish Liras for the job.

Some 8,235 people from 27 countries applied for the job and Ortanca Municipality chose Efe Tanay, according to local media reports.

“Nature in Dalyan and Sarıgerme is different than other places. It is so untouched. I hope to introduce this area to a larger audience,” Tanay was quoted as saying after he started the job on August 1.
