Turkey starts its Euro 2016 qualification preparations with a friendly game against Northern Ireland in Adana tonight.

Last week, coach Fatih Terim named his latest national team squad, including 11 uncapped players and signaling a rebuilding process as the national team starts early preparation for the qualification rounds of the European Football Championships.

Turkey was left trailing behind the Netherlands, Romania and Hungary in its latest disappointing World Cup qualification campaign.

Tonight’s game will also mark a homecoming for local hero Terim, who started his playing career at Adana Demirspor.

The game at the Adana 5 Ocak Stadium will start at 9 p.m. and will be shown live on Star.
