Turkey aims $4 billion in trade with Czech Republic

Turkey and the Czech Republic aim to increase their trade volume to $4 billion by 2015, Turkish Ambassador in Prague Cihad Erginay has said.

The mutual trade between the two countries is currently at $2.65 billion, he told Anatolia news agency on Nov. 1, ahead of the fifth term meeting of Turkey-Czech Republic Joint Economic Committee, which took place in Prague the next day.

Erginay said big Czech companies such as CEZ, SKEX, CKD and VITKOVICA were invested in the energy area in Turkey, adding that Turkey was planning to cooperate with Czech companies in the area of nuclear energy too. He also said that 60-70 Turkish businessmen were currently working in the Czech Republic.
