Syrian child killed in bus crash in Turkey’s Antalya, 26 others injured

ANTALYA

A five-year-old Syrian child was killed and 26 others were injured when a bus carrying Syrian migrant workers crashed on Nov. 23 in the southern province of Antalya.

The bus was on its way from the southeastern province of Şanlıurfa to Antalya when the accident happened on the Akseki-Manavgat highway, state-run Anadolu Agency has reported.

The 26 injured people were taken to nearby hospitals, with the six-year-old Hisen Sino in critical situation, the agency said.

The bus had the capacity to carry 14 people, but a total of 27 people were on it, local media has reported.

An investigation into the incident has reportedly been launched.
