Suspect detained obtaining finance to PKK in France

RENNES
One suspect was detained in France’s northwestern province of Rennes on Oct. 15 on accusations of financing the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), the French newspaper Daily Ouest-France has reported.

A police counterterrorism unit detained one 30-year-old suspect, who was subsequently taken to Paris.

The suspect reportedly arrived in the Bretagne province from Marseilles, and had allegedly transferred money abroad to the PKK through the publishing of a newspaper.

The interrogation of the suspect is continuing in Paris while the investigation is ongoing.
