Bad weather conditions have hit a number of provinces across Turkey, with many roads blocked by heavy snowfall.

Officials have warned that more snow is to come in six southeastern provinces, including Diyarbakır, Şanlıurfa, Mardin, Batman and Siirt, especially in towns at higher altitudes. They warned that citizens should be cautious.

Schools were closed in the Central Anatolian province of Konya on Nov. 26 due to the snow.

The railroad between the western province of Denizli and the Mediterranean coastal province of Antalya was partially closed due to snowfall. The snow was 20 centimeters deep in some spots.

Some districts in Antalya had seen snow fall earlier this week, a rare occasion for the region.

The snowfall also affected the southern province of Adana, blocking the main road to the Pozantı district.  Snow has even hampered traffic in the Aegean region, which normally enjoys moderate winters.
