Six British tourists of Pakistani origin have been rescued after their speed boat sank off the Aegean port of Marmaris, Anatolian news agency reported today.

The boat reportedly sank due to an unknown reason after the group went to visit a touristic cave near Cennet Island.

The six tourists and the boat’s captain were rescued after waiting for help when personnel of a tour boat passing by noticed them floating in the sea.

The tourists, who were taken to Marmaris State Hospital after being taken to shore, were reportedly in good condition.

The speedboat’s captain was released after questioning by security forces.
