Security forces seize 600 kg of PKK explosives in Turkey’s Bingöl

Security forces in the eastern province of Bingöl on Jan. 30 seized over 600 kilograms of explosives belonging to the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK).

The Bingöl Gendarmerie Command seized the explosives and various survival equipment in the rural Genç district, the Bingöl Governor’s Office said in a statement.

The explosives were destroyed on site.

The statement stressed that the “fight against terrorism will continue with determination.”

Also, three hand-made explosives ready for detonation were found underground by a local collecting mushrooms in the western Kütahya province.

The explosives were sent to the gendarmerie’s criminal branch for further investigation.
