Turkey's defence ministry suggested to Russia on Oct. 6 that the two sides should consider creating a joint working group to coordinate actions related to Russia's air strikes in Syria, a Russian Defence Ministry official said.

Igor Konashenkov told Russian news agencies the Turkish ministry had made the suggestion to a Russian military official attached to the Russian embassy in Istanbul.
