Russian President Vladimir Putin's scheduled visit to Turkey has been pushed back until next month, private broadcaster CNNTürk reported today.

Putin was set to visit Turkey in two weeks for talks that would focus on the economy.

The Russian Foreign Ministry had earlier said energy issues would dominate the discussions during the president’s visit. However, recent developments in Syria and claims about potential Russian involvement in the downing of a Turkish jet in Syrian territorial waters on June 22 might also be discussed.
