Puppy covered in mud and glue found at point of death in Istanbul

ISTANBUL
A stray puppy that was left for dead after being covered in glue by children in Istanbul is making a slow recovery, daily Hürriyet has reported.

The puppy was struggling to move and was barely breathing when it was found by locals late last week.

Locals who found the puppy took it to a veterinarian for medical examinations.

One of the dog’s ears was completely clogged due to glue and mud.

Veterinarians completely shaved the dog’s fur, which had hardened due to the glue.

The vets working on the dog have dubbed him Pascal.

They said they had cleaned the dog of the chemicals but that the puppy still had trust issues due to the torture that it was subjected to.

“His distrust read like an open book from his eyes and posture,” a vet said.

The dog was reportedly healing slowly, according veterinarians.
