Ertan An worked as an interpreter and he was married with one child. His wife was 6 months pregnant. An was killed while dropping off a group of tourists at the airport.
Çağlayan Çöl
27-year-old Çöl worked on one of the help desks at the airport.
Mahmut Çizmecioğlu and Zeynep Çizmecioğlu
This married couple was working at ground services.
Murat Güllüce
Güllüce was working at a hotel and was also an interpreter. He was married with four daughters.
Göksel Kurnaz
38-year-old Kurnaz had been married for two years. He was working at a security company and was at the airport to pick up his boss.
Umut Sakaroğlu
Sakaroğlu had been working as a customs officer for three years. He shot one of the militants and was killed after the militant blew himself up. After Sakaroğlu’s death, a Facebook page titled ‘Gallant Umut Sakaroğlu’ was opened in his memory.
Hüseyin Tunç
The 28-year-old Tunç was working as a teacher at a high school. His father died when he was 5 years old and he had three siblings. He was working to provide his siblings with education.
Muhammed Eymen Demirci
The 25-year-old Demirci graduated from university last year. As he could not find a job, he started working for the airport’s ground services six weeks ago to support his sisters’ education.
Adem Kurt
The 32-year-old Kurt was working as a check officer for two years.
Erol Eskisoy and Ali Zülfikar Yorulmaz
Taxi drivers Eskisoy and Yorulmaz were also among the victims of the explosion.
