President Erdoğan hosts renowned musician Cat Stevens

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan hosted renowned British musician Yusuf Islam, formerly known as Cat Stevens, at the Presidential Palace in Ankara on Feb. 8, state-run Anadolu Agency has reported.

The two had a closed-door meeting that lasted around one hour and 15 minutes. 

Erdoğan expressed his thanks to Islam for his visit on his official Twitter account, where he also posted a photo of the two from the meeting and tagged Islam’s account. 

“My dear brother Yusuf, thank you for your visit and sincere conversation. Welcome to Turkey,” he said in the caption of the photo, which Islam later retweeted.
