Play Unifilm Fest to go to Anatolia

The Play Unifilm Fest, a project of the Higher Education Board (YÖK) will be at Sakarya University between Feb. 13 and 19 as part of a project to promote cinema at nine universities. 

The even will feature workshops and seminars with actors and directors from Turkish cinema.

The festival will also include a short film contest featuring a 10,000-Turkish Lira prize for the winner.
The contest is open to all university students.

The jury for the short film contest consists of famous people from the cinema industry. Members of the audience who guess the winning movies can also receive awards.

The students of Sakarya University will have the chance to meet with Turkish directors and actors such as Mert Fırat, İlksen Başarır, Cengiz Bozkurt and Murat Saraçoğlu in the “Five o’clock tea with Turkish cinema” seminar.

After the program, Şerif Sezer will attend to talk to about his career in the program called “My Life with Cinema.”

A “Mockumentary Atelier” will be held by Emre Akay while the cinema critics atelier will be held by Gözde Onaran and Gülengül Altıntaş. At the same time, Derya Durmaz will hold an acting atelier.

After Sakarya, the festival will continue on to Çukurova University, Mersin University, İnönü University, Ondokuz Mayıs University, Dokuz Eylül University, Istanbul and Marmara University until March 4.
