PKK militants attack AKP bus in Turkey’s Van

One person was killed late on April 15 when a campaign bus belonging to the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) was attacked by outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) militants, a source has said.      
 
The attack in the Muradiye district of the eastern province of Van was carried out with long-barreled weapons against the motorcade of district head İbrahim Vanlı, according to the source who asked to remain anonymous. 

Vanlı’s nephew and a village guard, Adnan Vanlı, who was following the motorcade, was killed in the attack.       

An operation has been launched to capture the militants involved.
