PKK kidnaps AKP provincial head

Members of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) have allegedly kidnapped Justice and Development Party (AKP) Hakkari provincial head Mecit Tarhan, daily Vatan reported.
 
Tarhan, a lawyer, had been the provincial head of Hakkari for the past two terms.
 
Tarhan had reportedly been receiving threats from the PKK for some time.
