Patricia Kaas to take Istanbul stage

Famous for her unique interpretation of chansons, French singer Patricia Kaas will perform on Oct. 26 at Istanbul’s Zorlu PSM.

Born in 1966, Kaas grow up in the Lorraine region of France and her first professional gig was at the age of just 13, singing at a night club in Germany.

Infusing pop, jazz and blues to traditional French songs, Kaas released her first album “Jalouse” in 1985 but hit the big time in 1987 with the release of hit album “Mademoiselle chante le blues.”

With the release of her 1990 album “Scene de vie,” she earned recognition in the international market.

Her concept album “Piano Bar by Patricia Kaas,” recorded in 2002, was her first English-language album, which was followed by a world tour “Piano Bar Live” with performances in Europe, Asia, and the United States. Throughout her career Kaas has received many awards, including the “Best French Artist of the Year” at the World Music Awards in 1995.
