One police officer wounded in bomb attack in Turkey’s east

A car bomb exploded Aug. 12 in the eastern province of Tunceli during the passing of an armored police vehicle, wounding one police officer.

The members of a separatist terrorist organization set off the explosives in the car, which they had parked in the Ovacık district while a police vehicle was patrolling in the area.

The driver of the police vehicle was wounded and transferred to Tunceli after receiving treatment at a local hospital. The wounded driver was reported to be in good condition.
