One-night avant-garde exhibit at Istanbul's Pera Museum

ISTANBUL

The pop-up exhibition will take place on Sept. 27 on the fifth floor gallery of the Pera Museum.

Istanbul’s Pera Museum will host “Bring Your Own Beamer” (BYOB), a one-night exhibition hosting artists and their projectors, on Sept. 27.

The artists participating in the event will bring their own projectors to display their video works. Since 2010, BYOB has been organized in many different cities around the world.

Organized by Pera Museum’s Film and Video Program curator Fatma Çolakoğlu and project assistant Ulya Soley, the broad and diverse selection presents a look into the audio-visual works of up-and-coming artists.

The selection aspires to embrace the lesser-known gems of experimental and avant-garde film-making.
Artists joining the event include Yoel Meranda, Eytan İpeker, Volkan Şenozan, Serkan Ertekin, Deniz Tortum, Burak Çevik, Aylin Güngör, Can Eskinazi, Bengü Özakıncı and Serra Tansel. The pop-up exhibition will take place on the fifth floor gallery of the Pera Museum.
