One dead from Turkey mine collapse

One miner was killed and twenty miners were rescued in the Aegean province of Manisa early this morning following a collapse at a coal mine.

The miners were left stuck by the collapse at the mining site, which is owned by a private company in the village of Darkale.

Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) teams and ambulances have been dispatched to the mine.

The miners have been taken to hospital for medical checks.
