Sakine Cansiz, who was found dead in a building in Paris Jan.9, was allegedly part of the Oslo negotiations between the Turkish state and the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), according to media reports that surfaced following her death.

Several media outlets have voiced claims regarding Cansiz's involvement in the Oslo negotiations, stating that she had met with members of the Turkish National Intelligence Organization (MİT) in recent months.

Cansiz's job was to communicate to PKK factions in European countries once she received information from imprisoned PKK leader, Abdullah Ocalan, according to daily Yeni Safak.

She had also taken part in Oslo meetings two different times and was a supporter of the PKK laying down its arms, according to reports.
