A military plane has reportedly crashed near the central Anatolian province of Sivas’s Kangal district, heavily injuring two pilots.

Two pilots of the F-4 plane, Major Serdar Çeliker and Captain Fatih Tüm, survived the accident with injuries, according to initial reports provided by the authorities.

“Two pilots jumped out of the plane with parachutes. They are currently being taken to the hospital. Our district governor and health directorate are at the scene of accident,” Mustafa Aydın, the deputy governor of Sivas, told Anadolu agency.
