Main opposition CHP's Bolu district head ‘tortured’ by kidnappers

The main opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP) Bolu central district head Sinan Ayhan said he had been tortured with electricity by three people who kidnapped him two days ago.

Ayhan was kidnapped by three people Aug. 11 after leaving his place of business in the city center. His family reported him missing to the police after he did not return home. Aug. 13, he was found on a road near his house. He could reach his house but fainted after knocking on the door. Ayhan was immediately hospitalized after the incident. CHP Bolu deputy Tanju Özcan and many other party members have visited him.

Ayhan’s sister Nurşen Özaydın said he told them that he had been kidnapped by three people, who kept him at a place without food and water for two days. Ayhan also reportedly said he had been beaten and tortured with electricity.

The police are searching for the abductors.
