Main opposition CHP leader reshuffles party management

Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, the leader of the main opposition Republican People’s Party’s (CHP), has decided to overhaul his party’s management, in the aftermath of the March local elections and on the eve of key presidential election in August.

The decision to renew the CHP’s Central Executive Board (MYK) was taken during yesterday’s weekly meeting, broadcaster CNN Türk reported.

According to reports, Kılıçdaroğlu thanked members of the MYK and announced that he would establish a new working group to determine the new outlook of the MYK.

The CHP head reportedly admitted that the party’s performance in the local elections was far from meeting expectations and said the party was reorganizing its management ahead of the presidential elections.
