Local firm acquires Spain’s food brand

Toksöz Group maintains its inorganic growth, said the board member.

Turkey’s Toksöz Group has acquired Spanish fruit juice producer Zumos Palma just after it bought Italian chocolate brand Pernigotti. 

Toksöz Group, whose operations are largely in food, pharmaceutical products and energy sectors, bought Pascual Group’s Zumos Palma, which owns fruit juice producer Zumosol in Spain, Toksöz has announced.

Toksöz acquired Italian chocolate brand Pernigotti last month. The company said they expanded to fruit juice and beverage sectors along with chocolate and ice-cream. 

Toksöz Group Board Member Ahmet Toksöz said the company had been maintaining its inorganic growth period by way of acquisitions abroad along with their investments in Turkey. “This acquisition shows our group’s determination in venturing into new global markets, particularly in Europe. With the Zumosol brand, we aim to strengthen our international network and diversify sectors in which we have operations with 100 percent natural products,” he said.
