Canadian singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen returns once again to Istanbul for a concert at the Ülker Sports Arena on Sept. 19 as part of his 2012 Old Ideas World Tour.

Released in January 2012, Cohen’s latest album Old Ideas received positive reviews from publications like Rolling Stone, the Chicago Tribune, and The Guardian. The New York Times said it grappled with topics Cohen has pondered throughout his career, including love, desire, faith, betrayal and redemption. Some of the diction is biblical, while some is drily sardonic.

Be prepared to hear unforgettable songs such as “Dance Me To The End Of Love,” “Ain’t No Cure for Love,” “Bird on a Wire,” “Chelsea Hotel #2,” “Suzanne,” “Hallelujah,” “So Long, Marianne,” “I’m Your Man” and “First We Take Manhattan.”

In August 2011, Cohen completed work on the album with producer Ed Sanders. The album was released on January 27, 2012. The lyrics for the song “Going Home” were published as a poem in The New Yorker magazine in January of 2012, prior to the record’s release.
